While most of our requests come from the Department of Child Protective Services, anyone in a child’s circle of support can request resources from a child placement agency. (ie. a CASA volunteer, child placement agency case manager, teacher, nurse etc.) Foster youth or former foster youth can also submit a request for assistance as well.

Complete the online Foster Angels request form. Someone from the Foster Angels program team will contact you within four business days on the next steps.

Yes! We just ask that when requesting for a second time for the same child or family that you note that on the request form so we can accurately track the number of children we serve in a year. 

Foster Angels of Central Texas serves region seven, as defined by the Department of Family and Child Protective Services. This region includes 30 counties in Central Texas.  Our physical office is in Austin, Texas. 

There is also Foster Angels of South Texas that serves region 11 and is based out of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Children who are in the conservatorship of the state (temporary or permanent managing conservatorship)

It is not in our best practice to provide reimbursements. We, instead, prefer you reach out to us to pay for needs ahead of time.

Sometimes we get generous donations from our community which is in the form of physical gift cards and so we need to distribute those. However, we work hard to accommodate workers who have longer distances to travel with electronic gift cards first. We appreciate your grace and flexibility.

Unfortunately, lost or stolen mail as well as fraud and theft is a large concern at Foster Angels and we do not want to delay your request by working through these obstacles so we consider mailing requests on a case-by-case basis. 

Once you have received your request, we ask that you send us back the receipt from the funds spent within three weeks of picking up your request. Please just take a photo of the receipt and email it to request@fosterangelsctx.org.

Through our Guide to Thrive program, we provide general assistance to ensure youth transitioning out of care have their basic needs met. In addition, our Senior Thrive Program Manager meets with any youth that submits a request to provide any additional support they might need in the way of budgeting, access to resources, etc. We also have the FACT scholarship program that provides assistance to former or current youth in foster care attending college.
